Washington DC Obscura, July 2018

Before I travel somewhere, I like to check the website Atlas Obscura for interesting places to visit that might not be found in traditional guidebooks. On this particular outing in the Washington DC area in 2018, I stopped by a disused rail bridge with some rail-related ruins next to it, the Castle Gatehouse of the Washington Aquaduct, and several pedestrian and road bridges across the Potomac River, including the historic Cabin John Bridge. I also found some great graffiti under the George Washington Parkway a short walk away from the Cabin John Bridge.
